This Sigma 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DG Macro compact high magnification zoom lens covers focal lengths from 28mm wide angle to 300mm supertelephoto, a 10.7x zoom ratio. It also offers a minimum focusing distance of 1.6' (50 cm) at all focal lengths and is equipped with a macro mechanism for close-up photography at 300mm telephoto, allowing a reproduction ratio of 1:3. This lens also incorporates two Special Low Dispersion Lens (SLD) elements, and four Aspherical elements, to correct for all types of aberrations.

The improved DG lens design corrects for various aberrations. This lens is specially coated to get the best color balance whilst cutting down on ghosting caused by reflections from the digital image sensor.
